It's official. I've resigned

Yes. This culminates two years of MBA hunting. As the update on 27th Feb in my website proclaims loud and clear, I have been offered an admit from ISB into their class of 07.

It is a nice thing to sit and smile here, with an ISB admit at hand, but a travel back in time to early 2005 brings back the sad memories of missing the IIM bus. But the CAT (2004) experience taught me several things. It taught me to work hard and forget about the results. I would be lying if I say that I wasn't jolted by my failure to get a call from the IIMs, but nevertheless, I hardened myself saying that CAT was not everything. And that is true. CAT was, is and will always be what it is - just an examination. Nothing more, nothing less. Whatever side you emerge from it, you shall also be what you are. You got to move on. Que sera sera.

For the record, I scored a two-notches-below-par 96.4 percentile in CAT 2004, applied to ISB with my CAT 2004 score and then gave my GMAT and managed a 740.

I whacked a mail off to my HR yesterday saying that I will be discontinuing office. With it will end Act I Scene II of my career. (Act - I - Software Engineering, Scene II - My second company). Right now, working through some loan stuff and trying to get my last date in office from my HR. It should, in all likelihood be somewhere near Apr 10. Now that just leaves me with around 5 days to start a hectic year. The term @ ISB starts on April 15.

I will be blogging lot more frequently once am into ISB. I have always wanted to do that. But there was so little happening around me with my s/w engineering profession so that I didn't have stuff to blog. ISB is gonna be entirely the opposite. I think I wouldn't be able to blog my brains out there!

On another note, I'm trying to backlink all ISB blogs. This should be done in a while. Blogger doesn't have a trackback facility. So am trying to manually edit my blog template. Not a nice thing to do in the era of WYSIWYG editors. :(
